In my family, we have an age-old tradition (Ok, we actually have quite a few of these) -
There’s the Easter lamb cake tradition
(with a special cast iron lamb cake mold my Grandmother bought from William Sonoma half a century ago),
There’s the tradition of stuffing old nylon hosiery with gifts at Christmas as our Christmas ‘stockings’,
And then there’s the Day Before Thanksgiving tradition.
What’s that you say?
Your family doesn’t have a Day Before Thanksgiving Tradition?
Huh. That kind of reminds me of when I was little and realized that other little children didn’t understand how wonderful it was
to gobble up cottage cheese with ketchup on top. You guys are missing out!
But I digress -
Our Day Before Thankgiving tradition is a race to sing a song!
The first person who sings the Day Before Thanksgiving song to other family members wins!
So the day before Thanksgiving, the perky, morning-oriented members of the family swing open bedroom doors or pick up the phone and belt out the Thanksgiving song to the very groggy half-asleep people in the family. It goes like this:
“TOMORROW WILL BE THANKSGIVING DAY, THANKSGIVING DAY, THANKSGIVING DAY!
TOMORROW WILL BE THANKSGIVING DAY -
THE JOLLIEST DAY OF THE YEEAAARRR!!!”
Yes, my family’s traditions are awesome.
So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving traditions, what are you thankful for?

We are thankful for our clients, who we truly love as friends;

For the gift of capturing memories,

and for the opportunity to reflect the beauty of their love for each other.

We are thankful for how this business has brought us closer to each other and the community around us.

Katie + Joel, we are thankful for you.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Warmly,
daniel + megan
