Glendale Wedding | Part I
Natalie + James

Natalie is one of the most tender-hearted, capable, and fun-loving people we have ever met -

and we couldn’t wait for the day she would get to marry James, the love of her life.

We’ve known Natalie + James for…

oh, over ten years!

We had a blast reuniting with them to photograph their engagement photos at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in Washington state,

and finally their Big Day had arrived!

The entire family and bridal party took over Sculpt Salon in San Marino for the morning,

which is where I got my hair and makeup done on our wedding day. And might I say, those ladies at Sculpt are artists!

On this particular morning, the fun-excited-absolutely-gorgeous meter must have been off the charts, because this group of women? They were stylin’.

From Sculpt, we headed to the Glendale Hilton.

Where we admired Natalie’s impeccable style:

Just admire these for a moment, won’t you?

Every detail was thought of, from the stunning flowers by Anna Yepremian of Elza Deco

To the breath-taking dress.

Natalie loves her family dearly, and their love in return was apparent throughout the day.

From her Mother tending to her gown,

To Natalie’s Grandmother lending her wedding ring,

and leading a touching prayer of blessing over Natalie + James’ marriage.

I teared up then, and I’m tearing up now. This moment was so special.

Emotional as it was, this day was absolutely joyful.

And there is nothing more elegant than that.

To us, Natalie looks positively regal.

Meanwhile, the men were getting prepared in their suite.

I would use I-can’t-wait-be-married-to-Natalie as a descriptor for James’ demeanor that morning.

It was super sweet.

The men had a toast with bubbly,

and then the long-awaited moment arrived…

The First Look:

The private, tender time when James would get to see Natalie for the first time, in all her glory.

This is what a happy guy looks like -

A guy who is about to be even happier…

Because as James stands there, waiting until we give him a nod to turn around,

Natalie has been invited to approach her Love.

And this moment? It represents their entire courtship until now.

This moment is brimming with expectation and hope…

It’s time…

At last!

James admires Natalie’s gown, which is adorned with strings of beads and pearls,

And they pause –

Because today?

Today is their Wedding Day!

And that is where we will pick up next week.

We can’t wait!

Warmly,

daniel + megan
