I can say with absolute confidence that Carissa Burkett is one of the most talented artists I’ve ever met.
When Carissa isn’t creating displays for Anthropologie (I know, raise your hand if you’re already in awe) she is designing weddings. Gorgeous, gorgeous weddings.
“Every bride had a dream wedding as a little girl,” Carissa told me, “I love to help her make that dream come true.”
Boutonniere’s fashioned from buttons and feathers, manzanita branches decorated with delicate tissue-paper flowers, and custom-built ‘wish trees’ with handwritten notes from guests hanging like ornaments: these are some of the design elements that have been incorporated in weddings by Carissa.
After partnering with the bride and groom to create an original wedding concept, Carissa may then collaborate with the venue’s lighting specialist and the florist, among other members of the wedding team. The result is a unique, cohesive setting for a memorable wedding.
Did she pay me to write this glowing post? Nope. Should you hire her? YES.
